Wake Up Now
Wake Up Now
“Sing, O barren, You who have not borne! Break forth into singing, and cry aloud, you who have not labored with child! For more are the children of the married woman, says the Lord.”
Sing, cry aloud and awaken mean ‘I am calling on God’. Life, unfulfilled careers, business, delays or unexpected surprises have a way of covering up our true self and our true walk with the Lord. Slowly we can become tamed down, conforming to a comfortable way of life rather than living a challenged life. Adapting to a stagnant, unchallenged lifestyle numbs the mental and emotional response to our true self.
Living ‘alive’ in the Lord should be an adventure, having high hopes, expectations and the energy to learn, increase and expand. As we tame down and settle, we cease to expand, creating a mindset of limitation. We accept the idea that this is all there is in this life. If our awareness becomes dull and we lose hope, we become self-centered and ungrateful leading us to seeking comfort, security and sensual pleasure rather than seeking creative challenges, achievement and service. “And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares.” (Luke 21:34).
God has more blessings and favor in our future than we can imagine because our hope is based on Jesus Christ. Expand your thinking and your ability to receive so you can live the abundant life He has in for you!
“Sing, O barren, you who have not borne!” (vs. 1) ‘Sing’ is to wake up, enlightened. We realize we are not living in the path of God’s will of peace, power, plenty, purpose and joy. Life may have become dull and the sameness has taken over, but it will change into our good when we change our attitude, thinking and speaking and focus on God’s Word.
“Break forth into singing…” (vs. 1) We have the potential to uncover our hopes and dreams. Look up and declare, I am a dream carrier and I choose to be a dream maker! “He has put a new song in my mouth, praise God; many will see it and fear, and I will trust in the Lord.” (Psalm 40:3). The new song is the new way God awakens us from dullness. The Lord will do a new thing. He makes a road in the wilderness and rivers in the desert. The wilderness is a difficult place. ‘Rivers’ is the Holy Spirit. He is to be as rivers of living water in us.
Rivers of living water speak about new ideas, energy, opportunities and provision. “You will show me the path of life; in Your presence is the fullness of joy; at Your right hand are pleasures forevermore.” (Psalm 16:11).
“…cry aloud…” (vs. 1) ‘Cry’ is expressing faith in God that He answers prayer. We stop thinking and speaking lack. We now rise up in boldness to our dreams that are demanding expression and manifestation. No more pushing our dreams down until they no longer speak to us.
“…enlarge the place of your tent…” (vs. 2) Expand your thinking to all things are possible (Mark 9:23). This way of thinking stretches forth our curtains (removes limited vision), causing us to live a challenged life. Challenge is God’s design for us to experience His provision.
“Do not spare...” (vs. 2). Stop fearing risk of failure.
“Lengthen your cord, and strengthen your stakes…” (vs. 2) Break limitations and have the boldness to declare you are in confidence with God based on Jesus and what He did. Strength of confidence produces amazing results!
“For you shall expand to the right and to the left…” (vs. 3) Our new uplifted mental and emotional perception creates a vision of conceptual perception of an abundant future.
Put your hand on your heart and say, “Because of Jesus Christ, I am now awake to the provided potential provision that belongs to me. Amen”
