The Power of 'Yes'
“For all the promises of God in Him are Yes, and in Him Amen, to the glory of God through us.”
II Corinthians 1:20
God’s Word is filled with promises. His promises for our good come through His Son, Jesus Christ. Jesus is God’s YES to all who have accepted Him as Lord and Savior. Scripture says God’s promises are ‘yes and amen’. Amen means ‘so be it’, there is nothing more to be said. God wants us to live a blessed life. That’s why our response to His promises in every situation or circumstance should be ‘yes and amen’. God is for us, not against us (Romans 8:31).
God’s promises the nations of earth shall be blessed in the seed of Abraham, Jesus Christ. The covenant made by God with Abraham. Jesus was crucified to redeem us from the curse of sin and death. He removed the curse of the law so the blessings given to Abraham are available to us. When we accept Jesus Christ as our personal Savior, we receive the promise of the Holy Spirit. We are heirs of God and joint heirs with Jesus Christ, we are translated into the Spirit family of God. As a seed of Abraham, all the blessings God promised him automatically passes on to us (Genesis 24:1).
All the blessings of Abraham are the Holy Spirit living is us as a scriptural fact. He is neither feelings nor emotions. The Holy Spirit is real. He is our Comforter, Counselor, Helper, Intercessor, Advocate, Strengthener, Standby. He leads us into all truth and abides with us forever (John 14:16-18, John 16:13, Hebrews 13:6). His power is available to us every moment of the day and for every occasion.
The Holy Spirit is our connection to blessing, increase, enrichment, health and long life. Accept and receive the Holy Spirit who contains all the provisions of every promise of God. Activate your gifted position by saying so! There is no limit to what the blessing of God can be and do for those who dare to believe. It makes the impossible possible!
We can choose to believe God’s Word and accept the scriptures as Truth. If we have any doubt, then we are double-minded (holding two beliefs at the same time); our faith will be hindered. Satan will temp us with the weapon of fear attempting to steal our faith. Fear causes doubt. Belief mixed with fear equals doubt producing double mindedness. When we mix faith with our belief (without doubt), the Holy Spirit is activated to bring forth what we hoped for into the natural realm. Jesus produced miracles by the faith within Him.
Believe more and learn more by removing doubt. The work of faith must begin by removing doubt that blocks and hinders the performance of God’s Word. Doubt is called an evil heart of unbelief (Hebrews 3:12). Do not allow yourself to live in doubt (II Timothy 3:5).
We are responsible for our thoughts, attitudes, beliefs, convictions and the words we speak. Whatever lifestyle created by our deep thinking patterns becomes reality whether constructive or destructive. If not corrected, faulty beliefs systems will reappear in our life. To change our circumstances and attract that which we choose, we must change our attitudes, beliefs and the words we speak. We are not to conform to the ways of this world, but we are to renew our minds and attitudes with God’s Word (Romans 12:2, Ephesians 4:23). If we want to change our conditions, we must be willing to change ourselves. Nothing happens on the outside until it happens on the inside. We see our life transformed in miraculous ways when we know, internalize and apply this truth.
