The Invisible Door
“I am the door. If anyone enters by Me, he will be saved, and will go in and out and find pasture.” John 10:9
The phrase ‘American dream’ is considered an opportunity to pursue ‘the good life’. This usually means financial security, getting an education, buying a lavish home, having an expensive car, taking vacations and retiring to a comfortable life of doing whatever you like. Americans who have achieved the ‘good life’ may not experience the abundant life Jesus promised. The abundant life with Jesus is not about materialism. It is about what we receive as a gift from the Lord and living as faithful stewards of the blessings from God.
Abundant living is a life where we experience a vast and infinite flow of peace, power, plenty and purpose. It is our power position with God. Abundant living is to reign in life; we hold a royal position (Romans 5:17). The life of abundance comes from awareness that we live by a power greater than ourselves (John 4:4). By the Holy Spirit, we are not circumstance controlled, fed, led or defeated, but we create new circumstances.
Abundant living is the supernatural ability to observe, pray, adapt and overcome in every situation and maintain a faith-love-joy attitude. In Christ, we are called to live abundantly. It is always there waiting our acceptance. Developing our connection to God, the Source, is the powerful way to increase the level of abundance, fulfillment and happiness in life. It is God’s will that we live an abundant life!
Jesus is the only door for His sheep (John 10:7, Acts 4:12). Jesus provides salvation, safety and sustenance to those who enter through Him. When we accept Jesus Christ as Savior, He being the door, is opened and we are in His pasture, one of total provision and continuous supply. David said, “The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me to lie down in green pastures.” (Psalm 23:1-2). A green pasture is seeing and feeling abundance. It is more than enough so we can be a channel of provision to others.
Going through Jesus (the door) is easy, but He didn’t stop there. Jesus said we will go in and out to find pasture. The going in and out does not refer to leaving and coming back to Jesus. It refers to the freedom in Christ to be ourselves without fear to live the abundant life. The ‘going’ requires revelation that we can even do that. It remains our potential until we become aware of going both directions through Christ (invisible door) as our gifted potential. Every need is met and every desire is fulfilled.
We begin to see the invisible when we take time to live in Isaiah 40:31. “But those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength…” Strength is energy, ability to hope and motivation for life as an adventure. Strength is a ‘can-do’ attitude with initiative and follow-through. When we wait on the Lord, our strength is renewed with energy, joy, peace and persistence for daily life. “They shall mount up with wings like eagles…” We see things differently and we are no longer circumstance controlled. “They shall run and not be weary…” We live in a calm state, running with patience the race that is set before us (Hebrews 12:1). Our emotions are not in control, God is in control. We stay motivated by the Holy Spirit. “They shall walk and not faint...” Our daily life is an adventure of the Spirit walk without boredom. Be strong and brave enough to stand and wait on God, for those that wait on the Him shall never be ashamed (Isaiah 40:23).
God designed everyone to be a dream carrier and a dream maker. Perception is our personal faith. How we see things produces victory or death. When we look from God’s point of view, we see our invisible provision. This is the look of faith that sees the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen (Hebrews 11:1).
Everything God promised in His Word has already been done. We only need to believe to receive it by faith and trust that God’s Word is true. The provisions need to be recognized, affirmed and acted upon or they remain unformed in the substance of God. Speaking the word ‘receive’ becomes the portal for the total provision and continuous supply that belongs to us because of Jesus Christ. Using the word ‘receive’ properly makes the open door contact with invisible substance. Activate and receive your gifted position by saying so!
