Angels Provide Protection
“For He shall give His angels charge over you, to keep you in all your ways.” Psalm 91:11
Angels are not fictional Bible characters or figments of religious imaginations that look like cherubs with curly hair and bows with arrows in their hands. People may doubt the existence of angels, but God’s Words says they are real, magnificent, powerful, spiritual beings who possess intelligence, show emotions and exercise will. Angels were created for the purpose of ministering to those who inherit salvation (Hebrews 1:14). As believers in Jesus Christ, we are promised a new life covered by the divine protection of God and His angels.
The word angel comes from the Greek word meaning ‘messenger’. These messengers of God have specific jobs to do in heaven and earth. God’s Word tells us how the angels are delivering messages, accompanying the lonely, dispatching aid to humans in need of protection or in an emergency and fighting battles. Angels have supernatural intelligence and powers; they are beings created by God; they generally operate undercover and do not draw attention to themselves as they carry out their assignments given by God. They do not seek our worship (Revelations 22:8-9); they are numerous.
Angels are everywhere, taking care of us and ministering to us even when we are not aware of their presence (Psalm 34:7). If we could remove the curtain blocking our view of the unseen spiritual realm, we would see a host of heavenly beings watching over us. We will probably never know how many times angels have delivered us, protected us from harm, helped us out of tight situations or even directly spoken to us. God’s promise of angelic protection and guidance stands (Psalm 34:7, Hebrews 1:14, Hebrews 13:2).
The Scripture says when we speak words of faith, God assigns angels to take action to make His promises come to pass (Psalm 103:20, Luke 12:8-9). God’s Word teaches us He gives His angels for protection to those who closely follow Him in obedience and service. That’s why if we want angels to work in our lives, it is important to guard what we say. When we speak God’s Word and walk in His will, a mighty host of angels are waiting to help us more that we can imagine!
When we are tempted to discuss a tough situation and need angels to go to work on our behalf, find scriptures that relate to the situation and speak the Word of faith. Do not waver, give the angels time to work. Thank God that the situation has already been taken care of and expect to see amazing results!
