The New Way

“Therefore we were buried with Him through baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from death by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in the newness of life.” Romans 6:4
The moment we are born again, the Holy Spirit takes us from the darkness of our sinful existence and places us into the light of God’s Son, Jesus Christ. We are spiritually baptized (immersed) into the body of Christ. We have the revelation that when Jesus was buried in the tomb, our old lives were buried. And when He rose from the dead, we rose from our dead ways into a new life. We become one with Him, a new and eternal union (Romans 6:5). We begin a walk of a wonderful newness of life, energized with God’s Spirit within. It requires boldness to enter into a new and living way He has dedicated to us (Hebrews 10:19-20). God says for new things to begin, we are to live in the present, face the future and leave the past behind. Now is the time to experience the unlimited connection to Jesus Christ through the Holy Spirit and see amazing results!
Walking in the New Way
1. “Commit your way to the Lord, trust also in Him…” Psalm 37:5. Commitment is powerful. It is a determined, fully dedicated act with an attitude that you are actually doing it. When we commit our way of life to the Lord, we offer everything we do completely to Him, giving us hope that He is greater than any burden we carry.
2. “…and He shall bring it to pass.” Bring what to pass?
We have a new ability to trust in the Lord. Trusting in the Lord releases a level of awareness that causes us to want to obey Him. We trust in the Lord because we believe in Him, we count on Him to be our helper (Hebrews 13:6). God designed us to need him and experience Him. Lord Jesus Christ, I trust You now.
We have a fresh ability to hold fast to your confession of faith without wavering (Hebrews 10:23). Understanding that the Holy Spirit is the excellency of our strength, we will not waver. Walking with the Holy Spirit is done by the revelation that allows Him to be our both our life and our strength.
The ability to bar the door of your mind from lack, fear, doubt and self-pity. When thoughts attempt to enter our thinking, respond by saying, “Because of You, Jesus Christ, I always have plenty.”
The ability to understand by revelation that the path of life is the Holy Spirit living inside you. The Lord has shown us the path of life (Psalm 16:11). Instead of trying hard, practice releasing the Spirit to be what you can’t be and what you can’t do.
We have the awareness that God’s power is in us by the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is the source and ability of our lives, ALWAYS. It is choosing an attitude of thankfulness, recognizing the Holy Spirit is our helper and He will never leave us nor forsake us (Hebrews 13:5).
We have the ability to know He who promised is faithful (Hebrews 10:23). The Holy Spirit brings to pass a new ability to know God is faithful in the ‘no matter what’ in life. The revelation of the Holy Spirit living in us makes everything in life our teacher.
Because of You Lord Jesus Christ, I am always a container and expresser of the living God. In You, I always receive and experience the perfect peace meant for me. Peace is my power to calmly choose thoughts of faith, love and joy. I refuse all demonic thoughts of lack, fear, doubt and self-pity. I refuse them entry at the door of my mind. I think only faith-love thoughts of thankfulness. I understand that all things work together for good (Romans 8:28). I do not predict how You bring total provision into my world, but I have complete trust in Your faithfulness to me. By You, all things are possible. I have what I say. Every need is met. Every desire is fulfilled. I am a channel for Your riches to flow to others. Thanks to You whose mercy is forever. Amen.
