That Day is a Great Day
"At that day ye shall know that I am in my Father, and ye in me, and I in you." John 14:20
‘That day’ of revelation that Christ is in us by the Holy Spirit, changes everything. That day of discovery is not a religious idea; it is life, health and peace. This simple prayer is more powerful than anything we can do or speak. Lord Jesus Christ, You in me by the Holy Spirit, You are my miracle and You are working miracles in me now! Thank you. In Jesus Christ’s name. Amen.
A young couple, who were separated and planning to divorce, came to see me. The meeting was unsuccessful because of unforgiveness, anger and blame. I asked if I could write a prayer for them and they agreed. Lord Jesus Christ, You in me by the Holy Spirit, You are my miracle and You are working miracles in me now. Thank you. Later they came back to see me. But, this time they were holding hands. The prayer I gave them had laid on the kitchen table several days unread. The one who had been offended in the relationship said, “I decided I would finally read it. I spoke it out loud and all of a sudden my hurt, bitterness and judgments left me; they were gone!” Soon after their last meeting with me, they made arrangements to renew their vows. The Holy Spirit only seeks an opportunity to come out of our mouth to experience His miracle working power!
A person in the hospital called me for prayer. When I arrived, I noticed they had restless legs and were covered with hives. I asked if I could put my hand on their head and lead them in a prayer. Lord Jesus Christ, You in me by the Holy Spirit, You are my miracle and You are working miracles in me now. Thank you! The third time of repeating the prayer, the restless legs and hives disappeared; they just left! I speak this every morning: Lord Jesus Christ, You in me by the Holy Spirit, You are my miracle of peace that cannot be shaken. You are my strength that is always increased. You are my power to choose my attitude. You are my plenty for sufficiency, the source of my supply. You are my purpose to show forth the evidence of containing the foundation of youth. By You, I prosper, I am blessed and highly favored. Thanks be to Jesus Christ’s name. Amen.
The Lord had promised Abraham and Sarah a son, but years went by and it didn’t happen. When it looked impossible for them to become parents, the Lord said, “Is anything too hard for the Lord? At the appointed time I will return and Sarah will have a child (Genesis 18:14).” In ‘that day’ of revelation that Christ is in us by the Holy Spirit and we begin speaking opposite of unwanted circumstances, by faith the promises of God become reality. Through faith Sarah received strength to conceive a child because she judged Him faithful who had promised (Hebrews 11:11). God’s promise given to them on ‘that day’ changed their thinking process from discouragement to all things are possible (Romans 4:19, Romans 4:20-21).
The unfolding of God’s plan on earth is working miracles (Psalm 77:14 TLB). When we tune into the whisper of the Spirit who sees all things as possible for our good, we will hear Him and release all our cares to Him in exchange for His miracle of supernatural peace. The practice of casting our cares upon Him is the beginning of miracles (I Peter 5:7). Trust God. He has our best interest at heart and He will perform miracle after miracle in our lives. Why not make this a lifestyle and see it as a natural way of life?
In That Day Thinking Changed
1. We recognized Jesus Christ is our Savior. We go from believing in Him as a religion to accepting Him as our life, health and peace.
2. We recognized that by Jesus Christ’s stripes we were healed (I Peter 2:24). Our thinking changes from asking to be healed, trying to be healthy to accepting and receiving our provided health.
3. We recognized that we are not designed to hang on to the cares of life, ourselves or others. Now we cast our cares on Him, for He cares for us and He will perfect that which concerns us (I Peter 5:7, Psalm 138:8).
4. We recognized that when anything or anyone causes us anxiety we say, “Lord Jesus Christ, by Your Holy Spirit, I choose to trust in You; the battle is Yours.”
5. We recognize that as a believer we are never separated from Him, He is always our helper (Hebrews 13:5-6).
Heavenly Father, I am always mindful of the New Covenant where You provided all things for me. Because of the power given to me in the Holy Spirit, I am instant in prayer, instant in rejoicing and instant in choosing my attitude of peace. Thank you. I say this to be so by Jesus Christ’s name. Amen.
