"Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee. So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me." Hebrews 13:5-6
The Bible says that we can come short of God's rest and the Word preached does not profit because it is not mixed with faith (Hebrews 4:1-2). Faith is leaning of the entire personality of God in absolute trust and confidence in His power, wisdom and goodness. When we place our faith in God, we are trusting in His power and ability to do what needs to be done; we are trusting in His wisdom and knowledge to do it when it needs to be done; we trust in God's way to get it done.
The fulfillment of every promise from God is available to all believers in Christ who, by the Holy Spirit, have revelation of how to mix God's Word with faith. To mix God's Word with faith, put yourself in the scripture and declare it is for you. Where the word says 'you', say 'I' instead making it personal. It is a challenging idea to understand that without faith, it is impossible to agree with God. The Word of God will not profit without the application of faith.
The Old Testament becomes our faith potential because of Jesus Christ. Jesus releases the ultimate fulfillment of the Old Testament, removes legalism and releases faith potential for believers in Him. The Holy Spirit makes real to a believer in Christ, all provision necessary for life when claimed and spoken in faith.
The only way I have found to have the promises of God become a reality is to practice the title of this message. When I hear what God has said, then what will I say? I go over the great faith story of Habakkuk 2:1. "I will stand upon my watch, and set me upon the tower, and will watch to see what he will say unto me, and what I shall answer when I am reproved (instructed)." Habakkuk was a prophet, a thinker and a man of faith. He knew he was called to be a chooser because he chose "I will". To stand upon your watch is your life; It is your turn to live on earth. Set upon your tower is an idiom for an uplifted, mental attitude and it is a high level of awareness. How you define your watch is a personal thing. What do you say? This is my watch, my life, my turn to live so I remain awake and aware of what God is saying to me by His Spirit and through His Word; what will I say after God instructs me? This is an elevated perception that sees circumstances as nothing more than a faith training school.
When you hear God say, "I will never leave you nor forsake you", what will you say? One of the most important principles to mix God's Word with faith is to hear what you are saying NOW! "So that I boldly say the Lord is my helper and I will not fear what man can do to me (Hebrews 13:5)." When you say God's Word using "I", you are speaking faith.
Revelation Requirements for Boldness; Amazing Results
1. Practice believing that as you believe, it is done unto you (II Corinthians 4:13, Matthew 8:13). When you believe in Jesus Christ, hear His sayings and do them, the Holy Spirit produces in you and in your life according to your belief system. This is sowing in the Spirit and you will reap from Him (Galatians 6:8). I have heard God say the blessings of Abraham are for me, the promise of the Spirit (Galatians 3:14). Now I say I am a seed of Abraham and I contain You, Holy Spirit. You are the reality of my life. You are the miracle of my life, health and peace right now! Thank you. In Jesus Christ's name, Amen.
2. Revelation... I am whole, strong, sound and perfect. The lame man in Acts 3:2 represents all of us until the day we recognize Christ as our personal Savior. We are born in sin which makes it easy to be fearful, anxious and self-conscious; this condition limits and cripples us. Accepting Jesus as Savior changes that. We are now translated into His kingdom; whole and perfect. The word 'perfect' doesn't mean behavior, it means 'position'. I heard God say, He calls me to His glory where He makes me perfect, establishes me, strengthens me and settles me (I Peter 5:10). Because of Jesus Christ, I am whole, strong, sound and perfect. I am a channel for good news to the people around me.
3. Revelation... I see it clearly now. I heard God say by Jesus Christ's stripes, I am healed. Thank you that I am healthy now. By Jesus' grace, I have sufficiency for all things. I say thank you, Lord, I have more then enough for all things.
Lord Jesus Christ, You in me by the Holy Spirit, Your pleasure is my prosperity (Psalm 35:27). By You, I am greatly blessed, highly favored and I prosper in all I do. I am a channel for God's riches to flow to others. In Jesus Christ's name. Amen!
