Everything is Because of Jesus
"Looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith..." Hebrews 12:2
Living for Jesus is a religious concept that believes Jesus lives on the outside of us. Living because of Jesus is a way of life.
Many years ago, a man came to me in order to tell me he was burned out because of work he does for Jesus at his church. No one noticed the time and effort he spent, no one cared. He felt like he was taken for granted so he was depressed and angry at other members of the church. I asked, "Why are you taking on so many responsibilities?" He answered in the standard, religious way, "I want to please and serve Jesus." I suggested he stop the self-imposed duties. He looked bewildered so I said to him, "We do nothing for Jesus. We live because of Him." There's a difference between doing "work for Jesus" in order to make yourself feel good and living because of Him. Working to serve Jesus is self-effort. Living because of Jesus is a life of faith with Christ as your source. There is transformative power realizing the difference. When you live because of Jesus, you're able to release anger, judgment, bitterness and fear. You truly become a new creature in Christ.
Be thankful for Jesus Christ and His provisions. Watch and experience His amazing results in your life. Because of the Lord Jesus Christ, by the Holy Spirit receiving ability, I am open to receive every provision of every promise of the living God.
Recognize, Affirm and Act
1. We are not servants of God. Break free from the servant mentality because you're living a lifestyle of rules set by society. "Wherefore thou art no more a servant, but a son; and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ." Galatians 4:7
Because of Jesus, I am a child of God, a seed of Abraham, an heir of God's and a joint heir with Jesus. I have total provision and a continuous supply through Him. Renew your mind be speaking Romans 8:17, Galatians 4:7 and II Peter 1:2-4.
2. All things from God come to us through the revelation of Jesus Christ. We must see the redemption that is ours by the shedding of Jesus' blood, His death on the cross and His resurrection. The gift of the Holy Spirit makes the provisions of Jesus a reality (James 1:17).
3. Because of Jesus Christ, we are whole and complete. The lame man was completely healed and strengthened because of Jesus Christ's name. He went into the Temple walking, leaping and praising God (Acts 3:1-8). Walking is sowing seeds of joy for every deed done and being thankful for every moment. Practice living in the now and doing everything to the glory of God. Leaping is having a joyful, generous, thankful attitude. Praising the Lord develops the melody of your heart. Sing to Him your song of thankfulness! Entering the temple is walking in a faith fellowship with the Holy Spirit. He places us in the right place with the right attitude at the right time to receive the provisions of God's promises.
Because of Jesus Christ, I loose every provision from every promise. I receive it now. Because of Jesus Christ, Holy Spirit, You are my 'all things are possible' lifestyle. In Jesus Christ's name, Amen.
