Say It Boldly
"So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me." Hebrews 13:6.
Do you ever think about the words you speak and the power they carry? Take time to notice how you speak to yourself and to others. If the words we speak are not encouraging or uplifting, then we are grumbling and complaining. Our words should be edifying (Romans 14:19). We must not give in to the temptation to speak words of the evil one who is tempting us to complain and pity ourselves. The original sin is dead, crucified by Christ and has no strength. Speaking words that spread fear, create lack or produce self-pity and limitations keeps the original sin alive and in control (Romans 6:12). Sowing in the flesh of frustration, living in a state of broken agreement with God's Word.
What a life changing moment when we discover what God says in His Word, "But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach." Romans 10:8. Words belong to the Lord and He gives them direction through the Holy Spirit. When we commit our mind to the mind of God, we invoke the power of the Holy Spirit to speak what the Word of God says. We are to think and speak words that are true, honest, just, pure, lovely, of good report, virtuous and praiseworthy (Philippians 4:8).
Faith words used in faith statements are life changing. It is our privilege and responsibility to speak faith words and claim God's promises (II Timothy 3:16). If we allow the blood of Jesus Christ to cleanse our hearts, repent of doubt and commit our heart and mind to faith filled declarations of the Lord, things happen.
The scripture tells us that our creative faith words shall accomplish that which is desired and they shall not return void, but prosper (Isaiah 55:11). The Word of God spoken in faith becomes a lifestyle of confidence and power for overcoming any circumstance, obstacle, trouble or suffering. What we say and think makes a difference in our life. Our words are the key to an abundant life.
The Power of Speaking Faith Words
1. "For he that will love life, and see good days, let him refrain his tongue from evil, and his lips that they speak no guide." I Peter 3:10. The word evil means doubt; the root of sin. Guard your mind to stand against any thought of doubt that attempts to speak uncertainty and get you emotionally involved.
2. "Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and hope to end for the grace that is brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ." Peter 1:13. Gird up your loins is to be fully alert and ready for battle. In our thought life, it is always contest time.
3. "And in all things that I have said into you by circumspect: and make no mention of the name of other gods, neither let it be heard out of thy mouth." Exodus 23:13. The word circumspect is to be listening with the intent to obey. Anything other than God's Word that you allow to control your life is a god. Discussing your 'gods' gives them power.
4. "Death and life are in the power of the tongue..." Proverbs 18:21. Choose your words carefully; make them the words you want your future and destiny to be in life. Words of faith create what God intended us to be and causes us to experience his promises.
Heavenly Father, by Jesus Christ's name, I see clearly that the Holy Spirit releases the provision of God's promises as I boldly speak them. Thank you for the faith potential designed for me. By the Holy Spirit power released in me, I think, speak and act in faith. My future prosperity comes from the words I speak based on Your Word. Amen.
