God Came To Earth For Us!
"For all things are for your sakes, that the abundant grace might through the thanksgiving of many rebound to the glory of God." II Corinthians 4:15
A reoccurring theme in Proverbs is the pursuit of 'Wisdom', divine wisdom from above. 'Wisdom' is referred to as Jesus in Proverbs 8; He is the power and Wisdom of God by His indwelling Spirit (I Corinthians 1:30). God's treasures of wisdom, knowledge and spiritual understanding are made known through the revelation of Jesus Christ (Colossians 2:3). Without Christ, it is impossible to know the wisdom of God. The wisdom of God is eternal, unchanging, safe, sound and holds the answers to life. When God prepared the heavens, He (Wisdom) was there. When God established the earth and gave the sea His decree, He was there. We are His daily, always rejoicing before Him. His delight is the sons of men (Proverbs 8:27-31).
The angel, Gabriel, told Mary that she would give birth to a Son and to name Him Jesus (Luke 1:31). Everything Jesus did on earth by His birth, life, death and resurrection was done for us and is recorded by our name in heaven. Because of Jesus' obedience to God's divine plan to defeat death, His provision for life, health and peace is released for those who accept Him as Savior. It is a great revelation when we discover that God chose us before the foundation of the earth, before the worlds were formed (John 15:16).
The Lord Jesus Christ is our gift of life. God's promise for us is to have abundance in all things. It is by the power of the Holy Spirit that we discover God is our source for total provision and continuous supply. Religion (Law) will attempt for us to do certain things in order to be close to God. But, Jesus is already close to us when we accept Him as Savior and we receive the gift of the Holy Spirit to dwell within us.
"For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ (John 1:17). Grace is a gift from God out of His unconditional love for us. Grace is free and truth is obedience. Receiving grace is the first step in obedience. It can be a challenge to get past the idea that we must do certain things to be close to God... believing and receiving is doing something. We do not earn nor deserve anything from God, but we simply believe and receive. Obedience to God is always first. "...This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent." John 6:29. Take God's Word as fact and what He says in a personal way. "...therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and therefore speak." II Corinthians 4:13.
God said to Job, "...I will demand of thee, and declare thou unto me." Job 40:7. Declare is to make known or state clearly. It's good to practice paradoxical thinking and speaking. Paradoxical is to think and speak opposite of what is based on the fact of God's Word. He is in our mouth when we speak faith that works by love (Galatians 5:6).
I began a journey of speaking faith statements based on God's Word long ago when I had a calcium deposit on my collarbone. The doctor suggested surgery, but I refused. On my way to the car, I kept on repeating, "No, no, no! All things are possible!" I laid my hand on the calcium deposit and commanded it to be dissolved by the power of the Holy Spirit. I continued to believe God's promise of healing and speaking His Word over my body. Seven days later, it was gone! I've been doing that same practice ever since. The life of faith doesn't mean we can't get something 'illegal' on us, but we do have to opportunity to tell it to leave! By Jesus Christ's name, we have perfect health and increased strength. And by His stripes we are healed!
Practice Awareness of God's 'All Things'
1. All things means all things (II Corinthians 4:13). God's riches of His glory are provision for every need and desire. God supplies all our needs according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:19). God strengthens our inner being according to the riches of His glory by the Holy Spirit (Ephesians 3:16).
2. Be aware of the abundant grace and thanksgiving. When we thank the Lord Jesus Christ for meeting our every need, that thankful attitude and spoken word bounces back from God's glory to His glory in us. Rebound is to bounce back. Thanksgiving and praise to the Lord for His grace, provision, people and events is the main priority in life.
3. Thank you Lord Jesus Christ that I am aware of this fact of life; I am a steward of my thinking, speaking, attitude and the choices I make. I say this to be so! Amen
"Let us be reminded that Jesus' birth was the fulfillment of God's promise! Isaiah had many revelations of the future coming of Jesus Christ; he had a specific vision of Jesus coming to earth as a human being (Isaiah 60:1). Just as God promised, the Son was born to demonstrate His love for us, to open the door or salvation to whoever would believe, to give us healing and renewed strength and to destroy the power of death. The life of Jesus is living proof that we can depend on our heavenly Father to give us joy and victory in life. So let us focus on what is truly important this Christmas season by remembering how loved and blessed we are because of the greatest gift God gave us in Jesus, the gift of everlasting life! Sandi and I declare every day that all of us would experience Him and His unexplainable love. We thank God for each one of you. Thank you for touching our lives in ways that words cannot begin to say. Have a blessed Christmas with a great expectation for life, health and peace for 2017."
