I am on the Path of Life
"Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fullness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore." Psalm 16:11
The presence of God is always available to every person on this planet at any time, at any place. His presence is our potential which has its starting point by calling on the name of Jesus Christ (Romans 10:13). This is a necessary step because the only way to connect with our Creator-Redeemer is to say, "Jesus Christ." "Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me." John 14:6. We must know Jesus to know God. "Wherefore God also hath exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name." Philippians 2:9. "Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved." Acts 4:12. Saved is eternal life with Christ, by speaking His name.
In the 70's, a man told me his story. He could not find peace. He tried drinking, overeating and laziness, but he couldn't find inner peace. One day as he was recalling events in his life, a scripture from Sunday School he attended as a child came to mind: "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." John 3:16. He began repeating Jesus Christ's name. A peace passed through him and he knew Jesus Christ was his Savior. Everything from that time on began to change for the better.
The path of life-revelation begins by speaking Jesus Christ's name. "For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him." Romans 10:12. There is a story about a lame man in Acts 3. He was healed, restored and renewed by Peter speaking Jesus Christ's name (Acts 3:6). He became whole by the name of Jesus Christ (Acts 4:10), and he was made strong and became perfectly sound through Jesus Christ's name (Acts 3:16). As it was then so it is NOW with His name! Lord Jesus Christ, I speak Your name to activate the Holy Spirit's power and peace today.
The path of life includes the revelation to maintain an uplifted attitude and develop a supernatural response to yourself, others, life and the events of life. Natural, human responses can lead to unnecessary, time consuming speculation, judgment and wrong use of words. When we see something difficult and call it difficult, most likely what follows is complaining. In the natural, there is an unconscious need for self-pity that wants others to know how hard life is. Choosing wrong responses creates more of what we don't want. "...as we believe, it is done unto us." Matthew 8:13.
1. A supernatural response towards ourselves is practicing seeing ourselves according to how God sees us: complete, whole and strong. We are God's creation and He chose us to be us! Do not judge or complain about what we think we lack. Rather, bless what we do have. Bless, with thanksgiving, ourselves, the body we live in, our life, our finances and everything about us. We belong to Go and He indwells in us (I Corinthians 6:19).
2. A supernatural response towards others when we love and bless them causes to receive more of God's unconditional love. Holy Spirit, I release You to be my ability to love myself, life and others correctly. I cannot do it by myself without judging or complaining. It is only by You that I can and will bless myself and others. Thank you that You are always my helper! Amen.
3. A supernatural response toward events to give thanks for ALL things (Ephesians 5:20, I Thessalonians 5:18). There are delays and unexpected surprises in life. I Peter 4:12 describes them as fiery trails that test us. They are our practice ground: flat tire, misplaced car keys, delayed appointments, bad coffee, letter from the IRS, unexpected bills etc. Stop and take a breath before reacting with impatience to unexpected surprises and choose to look up and say, "Thank you Lord Jesus Christ." Words of thanksgiving are a doorway for God's greater good to overtake us. I can't wait to see the good coming to me through this situation (Romans 8:28). Practice this response when there is no pressure. What we do in practice, we will do when an unexpected surprise comes along.
Thank you Lord that I am on the path of life!
