Words are Important!
"Thou shalt also decree a thing, and it shall be established unto thee and the light shall shine upon thy ways." Job 22:28
Job's friends gave him advice that he never asked for as they attempted to explain reasons for his suffering. Although Job's friends had a wrong attitude toward him, they still made some great faith statements; "to decree a thing" is one of them. When we understand that it is done to according to how we believe, we will start to decree a thing and know it will be manifested in our future (Matthew 8:13, Mark 11:23).
It is important that we have a working definition of the word 'decree' which is the same as declare; it is to make known or state clearly. We have power and authority to make a decree and expect that it will be carried out because of Jesus Christ. Words we speak will be established (manifested, revealed, shown to be true) as we have spoken them. A decree declared is a faith action that comes out of our mouth in a positive, present tense way based on God's Word. It is saying that we already have what we expect. We decree, affirm or declare a thing out of our mouth, it goes into our ears and activates the Holy Spirit to perform the words of faith we are speaking. Faith comes by hearing God's Word (Romans 10:17). The power of decreeing is one of God's greatest designs to predict our future. It establishes God's Word in our belief system that becomes a magnet for His abundance.
We are made in God's image and He has given His name and authority to rule and reign over our domain by the power of our words. What we really believe and speak is what we will become. That is why it is important to declare God's Word until we totally accept what He says about us as truth. His Word is always the truth and that is what we want established in our lives. When we decide what we want for our life to look like, we begin to decree it as the king/queen we are! Just as God spoke the world into existence, we can use our words to speak and decree our world into existence according to Job 22:28. Know that you have the right to legislate and cause change to come based on the power and dominion that God has given you. Decree your victorious future and watch it manifest before your eyes!
We sow with the words we speak (Ecclesiastes 11:6, Psalm 39:1). "I can't remember very well any more as I get older, it's the first thing to go" is a creative statement of destruction. When we say statements like this, they destroy our memory (Matthew 25:29). "I will do more things to try to be more successful." This is a destructive, creative statement that tells the law of faith we are not successful and creates more lack of success. When we use the word 'try', we are implying doubt.
"I am successful because of Jesus Christ. Because I am a healthy, wealthy spirit directed believer, I am open to try different avenues and opportunities" is a constructive, creative faith statement. When we use the word try with this attitude, we activate the Holy Spirit to bring more abundance into our life. We understand that the Holy Spirit performs the faith that works by love statements, but creative words used as a negative allow the law of faith to bring negative results. Isaiah tells us that speaking creative, faith words shall accomplish that which is desired and it shall not return void, but prosper (Isaiah 55:11).
Scriptural, creative words are 'I am', we already have what we say before we have it; 'I can' are strength words, supernatural energy that is activated in us by saying so and trusting the Lord Jesus Christ; 'I will' are words of sincere, direct intentions that will cause us to be able to move ahead by releasing the power and the ability of the Holy Spirit; 'I have' are words of confidence, the knowledge of Christ is the revelation that He lives in us (we are one with God); 'Do it now' are power-action words, it is the way of making changes in our lives.
Human emotions can attempt to shut down our faith-attitude and speaking. Accepting Jesus Christ as our Savior is the doorway to eternity with Him, but it will not necessarily give us victory on earth. Victory on earth is hearing and obeying His sayings (Hebrews 4:2). When our foundation is based on God's Word, the devil cannot deceive us nor take us from what Jesus has provided through the power of the cross. Speak God's Word, train your mind to think upon God's Word and His words become a major part of your life.
1. Through Jesus taking my poverty, I am rich in substance and wealthy in attitude (II Corinthians 8:9).
2. By Jesus Christ's stripes, health provision is always flowing through the body I live in. I have perfect health and increased strength (I Peter 2:24).
3. By Jesus Christ's name and the Holy Spirit released in me, I think bigger than I ever have. I am open to receive the large place God has for me (Psalm 118:5).
4. Because You said all things are possible if I believe, I put in my beliefs the ideas that I can be debt free, pain free and financially independent.
Live in victory now and create amazing results in the future by using your voice. Get used to the idea that we are designed by God to experience His glory (amazing results) in our lives. Lord Jesus Christ, by the Holy Spirit in me, I have all things that pertain to life. I am anointed to experience the amazing results of God in a way that is greater than I've ever seen before to the glory of God! Amen.
